How to Protect iPhone Against Apps

Apple is renowned for its high standards of privacy and data protection however, iPhones are still a target for hackers. Criminals are able to access sensitive information through the many iPhone applications that gather it on a daily basis — such as browsing history, personal pictures, current location, and passwords.

You can secure your iPhone from apps by using a strong password that you can remember and don’t write down anywhere (you should already be doing this). Another good idea is to turn off the option to display notifications content on the lock screen which will prevent strangers from gaining personal information without unlocking your phone.

If you want to take it one step further, ensure that you utilize the Screen Time passcode feature that allows you to create a custom alphanumeric code, or at least disable access to the four-digit numeric code that will make it harder for thieves to crack your passcode until they get the right. You can also turn on a feature that will erase all information from your iPhone after 10 unsuccessful passcode attempts. This makes your iPhone useless to thieves, though it may still be unusable if you are unable to access your iCloud photos and other content.

Consider installing a reliable mobile security application like Clario. It can warn you of malicious sites, protect you from identity theft on Instagram and other social media platforms, block potentially harmful and annoying advertisements, improve your privacy by using VPN, increase your privacy with VPN, and more.
